Getting around Venice

A Venetian neighborhood

We are located in Venice in the Sestiere of Cannaregio (one of the city's 6 neighborhoods) at number 3556.

The area is still very much lived in by Venetians and remains off the beaten track of mass tourism.

From the Fondamenta dell’Abbazia, a public street running along a canal, you enter a lush private courtyard: the Corte Nova.

Inside the courtyard at number 3556, at the very end on the right, there is a red house: the doorbell to ring is Baseggio.

Above the entrance to the courtyard, you can admire a 15th-century sculpture of particular value, depicting the Madonna della Misericordia.
