Located  in the  historical center, Casabaseggio is situated in the wing of an ancient building which was part, already in 1300, of a Franciscan convent.

From the terrace where in the summer breakfast is served is possible to enjoy the peace of the garden which was constituting an ancient cloister and is also possible to notice through the cypresses the very ancient Abbey Of The Mercy (Abbazia della Misericordia).

The house is adjacent the Garden of  the Abbey, one of the quietest and most striking of Venice.
The very near street  "Fondamenta della Misericordia"  is well known in town for the numerous places  where is possible to appreciate Venetian or ethnic specialities, and  listen to music in  the evening. Not far you can find the ancient Jewish Ghetto with its seven synagogues, the Church of "Madonna dell’Orto" and "Ca’ d’Oro"!
